The Co · Awaken Story

Before Co·Awaken had a name, there was a love that rearranged everything I thought I knew about myself.

I’m Edmond Lau, founder of Co·Awaken — a husband, father, and teacher of intimacy as spiritual path.

When I met Candace Sauvé (aka Kiki), something in me opened. Our connection was breathtaking—intimate, electric, and at times deeply challenging. We couldn’t understand how something so right could also bring us to our edges. Yet underneath it all was a fierce and steady devotion—to love, to truth, and to discovering what wanted to emerge through us.

As a former engineer and builder of systems, I had spent years designing frameworks to help people lead with clarity and truth. But nothing had ever tested or transformed me like this. The relationship asked for everything — my control, my ideas of who I was, my comfort — and gave back something infinitely larger: family, home, and a deep secure attachment with life.

What I discovered was that intimate partnership is the ultimate transformational system — complex, mysterious, alive. From there, the work of Co·Awaken began to take form: a precise and embodied map for how love, truth, and beauty move through our most intimate relationships.

While this work was born from my partnership with Kiki, it’s designed to become something larger — a shared field where other teachers and practitioners bring their own medicine to this living inquiry.

Co·Awaken exists so that more people can feel what becomes possible when relationship becomes a path of awakening — a way home to truth, to belonging, and to love that keeps deepening.

Who We Are

Edmond Lau — Founder, Lead Facilitator

Edmond Lau is an author and facilitator devoted to awakening through intimacy and partnership. Before founding Co·Awaken, he built a tech leadership development company and trained hundreds of leaders across Silicon Valley’s top startups and global companies.

For nearly a decade, Edmond has apprenticed himself to the teachings of intimacy—through sacred sexuality, plant medicine, conscious kink, awakened relationship coaching, somatic therapy, and the raw laboratory of his own partnership.

He now tends to subtler architectures: the unseen structures of relationship, awareness, and transformation. Known for his capacity to reflect what is true without distortion, Edmond creates containers where even the most defended parts of us can open to love.

Candace "Kiki" Sauvé — Partner, Neuro-somatic coach

Kiki’s guiding mission is being a mother to her daughter Ember (born in 2024) and supporting parents who seek secure attachment, nervous system regulation, and a living, breathing village in modern life.

Alongside this mission, Kiki is a neuro-somatic coach, Sleepawake facilitator, and writer. After leaving a decade in enterprise tech — and later experiencing the loss of her first pregnancy — she crossed a profound threshold that initiated her into deeper spiritual practice and purpose.

She has devoted years to daily tea meditation practice and trained in modalities such as the Adult Attachment Repair Model, Aware Parenting, NLP, and Emotional Resolution — practices that form the backbone of her holistic approach today.

Her work centers on presence, repair, and village: helping families feel more supported, more regulated, and more connected.

Katara — Advisor, Soul Ally

Katara helped seed the earliest forms of this work and continues to serve as an advisor and beloved ally in its unfolding.

With degrees in engineering and over fifteen years in Silicon Valley as an engineer, people manager, and leadership coach at major tech companies, Katara brings a sharp analytical mind to developing emotional and relational tools for transformation. She guides journeys of self-discovery and reclaiming life force, helping people uncover their hidden potential and embrace their inherent divinity.

Her wisdom, heart, and devotion to love and eros remain woven into the foundation of what Co·Awaken has become.
